Important Patient Alert: Beware of Scam Calls

At Hope House Surgery, your safety and privacy are our top priority. Unfortunately, we have received reports of scam phone calls targeting our patients. These fraudulent calls may try to obtain personal information or financial details by pretending to be from our surgery.

This page provides important information to help you recognise these scams and understand how we will never ask for sensitive information such as bank details over the phone.

Please read carefully to stay informed and protect yourself from potential fraud.

What should you do:

  1. Stay Alert: Be cautious of any unsolicited calls, texts or emails asking for your personal details.
  2. Do Not Share Personal Information: GP practices will never ask for sensitive personal information in this manner.
  3. Verify Authenticity: If you are unsure about any communication claiming to be from your GP practice, contact us directly using our official phone number or email.
  4. Report Suspicious Activity: If you receive a similar call, you should report it to the Police by calling 101.

Please remain vigilant and share this information with others who may be at risk.

If you have any concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our practice team.
